Yolanda Varela
Yolanda Varela (March 30, 1930 - August 29, 2009) was one of the greatest Mexican actresses of the golden age of the Mexican Cinema. She was born on March 30, 1930. She started in the business at a very young age. She studied ballet in the National Institute of the Performing Arts. Yolanda Varela was the leading actress in many Mexican films and some Spanish/Mexican co-productions. Among her most important films are, Dos tipos de cuidado (1953) alongside Golden Age-idols Pedro Infante and Jorge Negrete, Llamas Contra el Viento and El Niño y el Muro (1965), the film was about the segregation and violence situation in Western Europe, it was directed by Ismael Rodriguez and filmed in East Berlin, Germany. She also co-starred with Daniel Gélin, Arturo de Córdova, Jorge Mistral, Manolo Fabregas, Ernesto Alonso, Pedro Vargas, Mauricio Garces, Pedro Vargas, Fernando Soler, Resortes, Clavillazo, German Valdez "Tintan", Enrique Rambal, Miguel Aceves Mejía, Joaquín Cordero, and many more Mexican celebrities. She met her husband, the film producer Fernando de Fuentes Reyes, while working for him on the movie Lo que le Paso a Sanson. She died on August 29, 2009 of natural causes.
